A Call To Joy

God’s Simple Plan of Salvation

     Step 1: You must realize you are a sinner.

     Romans 3:10 – As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

The word “righteous” in this verse means ‘perfect’. No one is perfect.

     Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

We have all sinned. Everyone is born with a sinful nature.

     Step 2: You must realize that there is a penalty that has to be paid for your sin.

     Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

If you have a job, you get paid for it. That is your wage—your payment for what you do. Since we sin, our payment for that should be death in a place called Hell. And, we should have to pay for that sin ourselves. But there’s good news!!

     Romans 5:8 – But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

     Step 3: God loved us so much that he chose to leave Heaven and come down to Earth to die on a cross and suffer great pain for us. He chose to pay our sin’s price so that we don’t have to do it ourselves. And you know the only thing we have to do to receive that gift?!

     Romans 10:9 – That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

     Step 4: Christ made it so simple for us that all we have to do is accept His free gift and believe on Him, and He says that He will come into our hearts and make us clean as though we had never sinned. If I handed you a gift and said all you had to do was take it, would you? Of course! That is all there is to gaining eternal life in Heaven, simple acceptance of what He did for you and what He has for you.

     If you would like to accept Jesus as your Savior today, pray this sinner's prayer and believe with all your heart that He hears you and will honor your request for salvation.

     Dear Jesus,

Thank you for dying on the cross to save me from my sins. Please come into my heart and save me right now and take me to Heaven when I die. I'm trusting in You now to forgive me of my sins and give me a home in Heaven.

In Jesus name, Amen.
